- Executive summary:
The flammability of PFBSK+ was evaluated according to EU Method A.10 and A.12. This test was performed following EU guidance and was GLP compliant; therefore it is considered reliable without restriction.

No reaction with water was observed. No pyrophoric properties were seen in the study. The test substance melted when approached by the ignition flame but did not burn once the flame was removed.

Additional information
PFBSK+ does not contain any metals, transition metals, boron, or silicon, and the structure does not include moieties that would result in a reaction with water, air, or damp air leading to emanation of flammable gases. The structure does not contain any chemically unstable or highly reactive groups that might lead to spontaneous ignition. In addition, flammability testing (EU Method A.10, A.12) shows that PFBSK+ is not flammable and no evidence of pyrophoric properties was observed.
Justification for classification or non-classification
Based on the chemical structure and results of the flammability study, data is conclusive but not sufficient for classification of the substance as flammable.
