Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Ingestion : If swallowed wash mouth with water provided person if conscious.
Inhalation : Avoid breathing dusts that may be generated by handling of the product. Remove the person from the exposed area to fresh air.
Contact with eyes : Wash immediately with large amounts of water or normal saline.
Fire-fighting measures
Water spray or regular foam, CO2, dry powder.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions: suitable protective clothing, eye/face protection goggles, dust mask complete of suitable dust filter protection.
Environmental precautions: Do not let the product enter drainage system, surface and ground-water and soil. Contact local authorities in case of environmental release.
Cleaning procedure to recover spilled material : if appropriate, moisten first to prevent dusting, soak up with inert absorbent material, and clean with plenty of water. Send to the storage waiting for disposal procedures.
Handling and storage
The substance is generally used in closed batch process where the predominant handling is in a contained manner.
Suitable captation system should be adopted to prevent dispersion of dust that could be released during handling.
In all working places provide sufficient ventilation.
PPE: Dust masks, gloves and overalls (In view of the other components of formulation, PPE are used to minimize workers exposure.)
Storage
Room ventilation : well ventilated place
Containers: keep containers closed and labelled with the name of the product.
Other storage precautions: keep away from food and drinks.

Exposure controls / personal protection
The substance is generally used in closed batch process where the predominant handling is in a contained manner.
Good hygiene practices and housekeeping should be adopted (e.g. regular cleaning of equipment and contaminated surfaces; washing hands before breaks and at the end of workday; no eating, drinking or smoking at workplace).
PPE: Dust masks, gloves and overalls (In view of the other components of formulation, PPE are used to minimize workers exposure.)
Stability and reactivity
Stable under normal storage conditions.
Elements to avoid: oxidizing agents
Thermal decomposition or combustion may include hazardous fumes containing COx, NOx.
Disposal considerations
National laws on disposal must be considered.
Sewage sludge from STP is mainly disposed of to landfill or incinerated.
