Only representatives
You are an only representative if:
- you take over the tasks and responsibilities of an importer of a substance under REACH, for a company based outside the EEA.
For more information, see also the Getting started page for only representatives.
Generally you have the same requirements for substance registration as manufacturers and importers. You also have to provide information to importers so they can compile safety data sheets (SDSs). You must also keep records on your supply chain – inventory of importers and tonnage – to provide to enforcement authorities on request.
