Description of key information
EC50(48 h) = 2.4 mg/L (geometric mean measured, OECD 202, D. magna)
Key value for chemical safety assessment
Fresh water invertebrates
Fresh water invertebrates
- Effect concentration:
- 2.4 mg/L
Additional information
There is one GLP study available investigating the acute immobilization of the substance towards aquatic invertebrates according to the OECD guideline 202 (1984).
In a static test, D. magna was exposed to the nominal concentrations 1.0, 1.8, 3.2, 5.6, and 10 mg/L test substance for 48 h under controlled conditions. A negative control was run in parallel. Test concentrations were analytically verified by HPLC.
The geometric mean measured concentrations of the test substance after 48 h were 1.09, 1.88, 3.45, 5.63, and 10.9 mg/L indicating that the substance was fully dissolved and stable over the duration of the test. The reported effect concentrations were based on the geometric mean measured concentrations. The EC50 (24 h) was 2.89 mg/L and the EC50 (48 h) was 2.4 mg/L.
