Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Seek medical attention immediately.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Irrigate eyes with running water for at least 10 minutes,
holding the eyelids apart. Seek medical advice.
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove all contaminated clothing. Wash affected areas with
copious amounts of water. Seek medical attention if
irritation develops.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical advice immediately.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Water fog, carbon dioxide or dry powder.
Product arising from burning: Oxides of carbon, nitrogen and sulphur.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Chemical protective suits plus full breathing apparatus
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Evacuate area and keep well ventilated. Minimise dust.
Eliminate all sources of heat, flame or sparks. Wear
protective clothing to prevent skin and eye contact. Wear
rubber gloves and breathing apparatus.
Collect carefully into a plastic liner and contain within a
tarred drum for disposal. When visible signs have been
effectively removed, wash area with water.
Handling and storage
Handling: Primary protection is by engineered controls, for example:
down flow booths, sealed drum filling systems, with LEV for
dust capture. Secondary protection will be provided by a
respirator, or a fully enclosing air suit.
Storage: Store in a cool dry place. Store in fibreboard drums, with
double polyethylene liners. Tamper evident seals must be
used for shipping.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Store in 60 litre fibreboard drums, with double polyethylene
liners. Tamper evident seals must be used for shipping.

Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not applicable since substance is consumed in use.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: None known.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: High temperature incineration with control of sulphur
dioxide and nitrogen oxides emissions.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Spills should be recovered and only minimal residues sent to
municipal waste treatment works. Effluent streams should be
treated in treatment work acclimatised to deal with chemical
effluent.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not applicable, the substance will not enter the public
domain.
