Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If rapid recovery does not occur,
obtain medical attention.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Flush eye with water. If persistent irritation occurs,
obtain medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash skin with with water
using soap if available. If rapid recovery does not occur,
obtain medical attention.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: DO NOT DELAY. Do not induce vomitting. Give nothing by
mouth. OBTAIN MEDICAL ATTENTION IMMEDIATELY.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Foam, Dry chemical powder, CO2, sand or earth.
Do no use waterjet.
Product arising from burning: With incomplete combustion of the product carbon monoxide
can be produced. Organic chlorine compounds can also arise
on combustion of the product.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Complete protective equippment and compressed breathing
apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Do not allow contact with eye, skin and clothing. Do not
breath in vapours. Evacuate all non-essential personnel.
Ventilate contaminated area thoroughly. Extinguish naked
flames. Remove ignition sources. No smoking.
Take precautionary measures against static discharge. Vapour
can travel along the ground for considerable distances.
remove all possible sources of ignition in the surrounding
area and evacuate all personnel.
Personal protection: PVC one-piece suit with integral hood
full face piece respirator with organic vapour canister NPF
400 nitrile rubber gloves gauntlet type safety boots -
rubber, knee length. In a confined space, wear
self-contained breathing apparatus open circuit type NPF
2000.
Environment: Prevent from spreading or entering into drains,
ditsches or rivers by using sand, earth or other appropriate
barriers. Inform the local authorities if this cannot be
prevented.
Clean-up: Absorb or contain liquid with sand, earth or spill
control material. Shovel up and place in a labelled,
sealable container for subsequent dafe disposal. Put leaking
containers in a labelled drum or overdrum. Scrub
contaminated surfaces with detergent solution. Retain
washings as contaminated waste.
Other: risk of explosion. Inform the emergency services if
liquid enters surface wtare drains. Local authorities should
be advised if significant spillages cannot be contained.
Handling and storage
Handling: Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Do not breathe
fumes, vapour. Earth all equipment. Do not empty into
drains. Extinguish any naked flames. Remove ignition
sources. Avoid sparks. Do not smoke. Take precautionary
measures against static discharges.
Handling temperatures: Ambient
Storage: Keep container tightly closed and in a cool, well-ventilated
place. Keep in a bunded area. Keep away from direct sunlight
and other sources of ignition or heat. Do not smoke in
storage areas. A reliable fixed sprinkler/deluge system
should be installed. Keep away from aerosols, oxidising
agnets, corrosives and from other flammable products which
are not harmful or toxic to man or the environment.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Drums with rustfree steel lining.
