Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures
In all cases keep the person at physical and mental rest and warm. In case of accident or if you feel unwell, seek medical advice immediately (show the label whenever possible).
Inhalation: shut off the source of exposure, if possible. Remove the person to the fresh air; keep at rest (avoid even walking) if necessary, seek medical attention.
Skin contact: take off the contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash thoroughly with water and soap. Seek medical attention.
Eye contact: flush immediately with large amounts of fresh water at least 15 minutes; seek medical attention.
Ingestion: rinse mouth with potable water and leave the person to drink 0.1-0.2 L of water with about 5 tbl of activated carbon if the subject is conscious. Immediately after ingestion (within 1 hour after ingestion), induce vomiting. Later, do not induce vomiting, immediately provide emergency medical assistance.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable: according to the character of the fire.
Unsuitable: do not use full water stream – risk of release to the sewers and environment.
The product can generate over 230°C toxic nickel oxides in case of fire.
Accidental release measures
Wear suitable personal protective equipment see section 8. Use approved fume/dust respirator. Avoid contact with skin, respiratory system and eyes see section 7. Do not use the substance in the closed area.
Avoid release to the sewers, water courses, soil or environment. In case of accidental discharge of large amount of the concentrated product to the surface water, ground water or waste water, notify local authorities according to local regulations (e.g. fire brigade, police, rescue police, water course administrator).
Wear suitable protective clothing, boots, gloves, headwear and respiratory equipment. Vacuum clean carefully the product (or brush it off) and collect into lockable containers. Flush affected surface subsequently after cleaning by water (according to local conditions and disaster procedures), Avoid release to the sewers, water courses, soil, underwater or environment. Ensure suitable wastewater cleaning.
Handling and storage
Use personal protective equipment (see section 8). Sufficient ventilation, suction, avoid contact with the substance. If dust is formed, its deposits must be removed regularly. Provide Drinking Water for First Aid! Maintain cleanliness and order in the workplace. Do not eat, drink or smoke while working. Before putting into rest or eating, dispose of contaminated protective equipment. After work, rinse thoroughly with warm water and soap. Use a protective cream.
Store in vented, closed, clean, noncorrosive original containers in a cool dry location, away direct sunlight and not adjacent to chemicals which may react with the bleach if spillage occurs. If closed containers become heated, the containers should be vented to release decomposition products (mainly oxygen under normal conditions). Keep away from food, drink, fresh water and feed. Protect against direct sunlight. Provide impermeable floor. Keep away from strong acids.
Only for industrial use.
