Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Eyes: Wash immediately with water or an eye solution for ten
minutes. Seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash immediately with water. If symptoms persist, obtain
medical attention. Launder clothing before re-use.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. Drink about 0.25 litres (1/2 pint)
of water. Seek medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
sulphur oxides together with chlorine containing compounds.
The fumes are assumed to be toxic Fires may be extinguished
using water fog, fine spray, dry powder, carbon dioxide or
foam. Fire fighting personnel should be equipped with
self-contained breathing apparatus.
Accidental release measures
burying. Before disposal, contact national and/or local
authorities. Wash contaminated area with large amounts of
water. Notify local authorities if material accidently
enters a sewer.
Handling and storage
liberated wear a dust mask or a self-contained breathing
apparatus. Avoid contact with skin.
Storage: Store under cool, dry conditions away from light. Protect
from flames, sparks and shocks.

Disposal considerations
specifications.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: There are no known potentially hazardous effects to
neutralise
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Disposal by burying is possible for small quantities
involved in spillages.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: The products of combustion (carbon, nitrogen and sulphur
oxides and chlorine containing compounds) should be removed
from the stack gas.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not applicable. The substance is not considered
biodegradable.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The notified substance will not enter the public domain
