New intentions for harmonised classification and labelling
Four new CLH proposals were submitted: 2-methoxyethyl acrylate (EC 221-499-3; CAS 3121-61-7) by France, Ipconazole (ISO); cobalt metal (no EC and no CAS) by the Netherlands, MCPA-Thioethyl (EC 246-831-4; CAS 25319-90-8) by Poland and N-(hydroxymethyl)acrylamide (NMA) (213-103-2 ; CAS 924-42-5) by France.

Biocides
Using 6-(phthalimido)peroxyhexanoic acid in veterinary hygiene or food and feed products?
Companies have withdrawn their interest to get the following active substance and product-type combinations approved in the biocides review programme:
• 6-(phthalimido)peroxyhexanoic acid (PAP) (EC 410-850-8, CAS 128275-31-0) used in veterinary hygiene and food and feed area (product-types 3 and 4).
Notify ECHA by 27 April 2017 to keep the combinations in the approval process.

Translation of tips for users of chemicals in the workplace
The recently published short guide for users of chemicals in the workplace has been translated. It describes how to get the most from the classification and labelling information received in an easy-to-read style. The publication was developed jointly by ECHA and a working group of HelpNet members and is linked on the downstream user web page.

Two weeks to go to our Stakeholders' Day (24-25 May). Check the programme with speakers from ECHA, industry and Member States. Workshop on Socio-economic analysis in applications for authorisation and restriction under REACH

ECHA and the European Commission (Directorates-General Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship, SMEs and Environment) will organise a workshop on socio-economic analysis in applications for authorisation and restriction under REACH on 29 June 2016.
This event aims to clarify the role of socio-economic analysis (SEA) under REACH and is aimed at Member States, European Parliament and stakeholders.
To develop the programme for the workshop ECHA is conducting a survey on SEA. Anyone involved in the REACH authorisation and restriction processes are invited to complete the survey.

IUCLID administrator webinar: switching from IUCLID 5.6 to IUCLID 6

The webinar will cover server administration for multiple users, new user management features including ‘Instance Based Security' (IBS), merging several IUCLID 5 installations into one IUCLID 6 database and tips for migrating your data. Presentations will be followed by a question and answer session.
This webinar is intended for advanced users of IUCLID.

REACH-IT, R4BP 3 and ECHA's support services will be closed for Whit Monday on 16 May. They will reopen on Tuesday 17 May at 10:00.
ECHA's switchboard will also be closed on 16 May and open again on 17 May 2016 at 9:00.
The PIC submission tool, ePIC, will remain open at all times.
