ECHA's external website and IT services maintenance

ECHA's website and all IT services provided by ECHA (e.g. REACH-IT) will be unavailable over the weekend starting from Friday 8 June at 17:00 until Monday 11 June, in order to enhance ECHA's ability to more efficiently satisfy the new projects and initiatives supported by IT. Most of the services will be back in operation on Monday morning but a number of our systems could still remain under maintenance until the morning of Tuesday 12 June, including REACH IT.

ECHA publishes the first report on the CMR substances registered or notified after the 2010 registration deadline

The report "CMR substances from Annex VI of the CLP Regulation which are registered under REACH and/or notified under CLP", published today by ECHA, is a screening of the information available at the Agency in April 2012. It also presents the first opportunity to take a look at the CMR - carcinogenic, mutagenic or toxic to reproduction - substances which have now been registered and/or notified.

Deadline for notifying ECHA about the presence in articles of twenty Candidate List substances is 19 June 2012

The six-month deadline for twenty chemical substances that were added to the Candidate List in December 2011 is approaching. ECHA reminds producers and importers of articles containing any of these twenty substances that they need to send their notifications to ECHA by 19 June 2012, provided they fulfil the conditions for the notification requirement in Article 7 of the REACH Regulation.

IUCLID 5.4 is now available

The new major update of IUCLID 5 is now available for download on the IUCLID website. This new version includes additional fields for reporting exposure, PBT (Persistent, Bioaccumulative and Toxic chemicals) and human hazard assessment data as well as other new functionalities.
