ECHA has published a report about a technical discussion session on the scientific adequacy of the transgenic rodent gene mutation assay (TGR) and the unscheduled DNA synthesis assay (UDS). The scientific discussion session was organised in Helsinki in October 2012. The aim was to discuss which of the two assays can most suitably address the gene mutation endpoint in vivo for detecting systemically-available chemicals that induce gene mutations in somatic cells. Overview on downstream user reports updated The summary of the amount and types of downstream user reports received for the period July 2012 to December 2012 is available. A total of 72 reports were submitted during this period and most of them reported that the downstream user was preparing a chemical safety report. Webinar: How and when downstream users need to report to ECHA - submit your questions in advance 8 April 11:00 (GMT+3) ECHA invites all registered participants to submit questions on the topic of the webinar in advance, by sending an email to: echa-events@echa.europa.eu
The presentations will cover some of themes of the questions and a selection of them will be answered during a Q&A session at the end of the webinar. Participants can also submit questions via a Q&A chat panel throughout the webinar and for a short period of time after the presentations have ended. Our panellists will try to cover as many questions as possible in the limited timeframe but in case your question is not answered during the webinar, you can submit it to the ECHA Helpdesk using the contact form on the ECHA website.
