November Newsletter now available
ECHA/NR/18/65
The November issue highlights some of the new tasks that ECHA will take onboard in the future. Such tasks include implementing the Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) Regulation and building a database under the Waste Framework Directive to track substances of very high concern in the supply chain.
Helsinki, 20 November 2018 – You can also read about the possible consequences for companies following the UK’s withdrawal from the EU, how it will become easier for you to find information about biocidal products that are used across the EU, and how our updated public activities coordination tool (PACT) will help you check whether your substance is on the radar of authorities for potential regulatory action.
We also follow up a report on the use of lead ammunition and fishing weights in terrestrial environments, and interview the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management about making products safe by design.
Our guest column features Eurometaux and gives their views on their cooperation with ECHA under the Metals and Inorganics Sectorial Approach (MISA).
